When I consider how many times I go through the front door, this has been a low effort, high value improvement to my home!
My favourite benefits of not needing keys to lock and unlock the door so far have been:
- Not needing to hunt for my keys when I’m in a rush (I’m prone to losing them!)
- Going out for a run is easier without keys jangling in my pocket
- Facial recognition allows me to easily unlock the door with my hands full (e.g. arms full of shopping)
- More likely to lock the door now than before
- Kids are able to lock and unlock the door
- Can give access to family without getting new keys cut
- Can give temporary access to people
